The Edward Johnston Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of public awareness of calligraphy, not only as an art form in its own right but also as the seed and reference point for many other lettering disciplines including modern typeface design

Mary Anne Wolfe

Mary Anne Wolfe has operated her own calligraphy business in New York City since 1987. Among her many private and corporate clients are Cartier, Bvlgari, Fendi, Bear Stearns, McGraw-Hill, Ernst and Young, Showtime, Asprey, Colgate-Palmolive and Columbia University. She is a member of the Society of Scribes (NYC) and will complete her fourth year on the Society's Board of Governors and third and final year as President in February 2001. In the fall of 1999 she was the Managing Director of the major exhibition, "Artist & Alphabet; 20th Century Calligraphy and Letter Art in America" held at the American Institute of Graphic Arts in New York City.
