Born in England, 1956. Fellow of the SSI since 1996

Transfer gold on gum ammoniac, shell gold and gouache on Khadi cotton rag paper.

CALLIGRAPHIC TRAINING: Graduate of the SSI's Advanced Training Scheme, 1996. Teaches calligraphy and illumination at adult education classes, as well as privately and at day workshops throughout the UK. Has also worked on projects with school children and given numerous talks on the subject.

COMMISSIONS: Clients have included Austin Mitchell MP, The Tolkien Society, and Glanford Borough Council, as well as a London PR consultant and other graphic design studios. Numerous private commissions of original work, as well as work for reproduction.

MAIN PUBLICATIONS: Article Working with Pigments, The Scribe no. 63, 1995: Book review of Marie Angel's An Animated Alphabet, The Scribe no. 69, 1997, and subsequently reprinted in John Neal's Spring 1998 listing. Work has appeared in the Celebration of Calligraphy catalogue and The Scribe.
